124. Enforcement of Open Meetings

We support requiring audio or video recording of closed sessions and allowing taxpayers to seek limited civil penalties for school trustees who violate the Texas Open Meetings Act. We believe an open meetings violation should be an affirmative defense to a charge or disrupting a public meeting.
