Committee Voted NO
Whereas: the election process has been questionable in several counties in Texas and citizens have had limited resources to request an audit and has had difficulty in the processes to request an Independent Forensic Audit of their elections in their county.
Rationale: Citizens should have a say in how their elections are conducted and to have the ability to request an Independent Forensic Audit if they believe nefarious activity occurred in their county elections. The people need to have confidence in their election process.
Be it Resolved: Citizens with Counties larger than 1 million population shall obtain an Independent Forensic Audit petition with 100,000 signatures and Counties with less than 1 million in population shall obtain an Independent Forensic Audit petition with 5% of the population in their county. The Independent Forensic Audit petition shall be submitted to the County Commissioners. The County
Commissioners shall mandate the implementation for an Independent Forensic Audit of the county.
