Parental Rights Resolution pct 2055
Committee Voted NO

WHEREAS, we believe that a free society supports the primary responsibility of parents to provide for the physical needs of their minor children—food, shelter, clothing; their education according to the strengths and weaknesses of each child; their adaption of social behaviors supportive of community legal standards; their moral and religious values important to support family goals, and prepare children to eventually assume their own responsibilities as parents and citizens, and
WHEREAS, we believe that community services: education, medical, welfare, and policing; must engage and protect the parents' advocacy in all initial phases of intervention, and
WHEREAS, we believe that intervention by governmental agencies in violation of ('Parents' First" standards nullifies agency actions, and
WHEREAS, we believe that parents may not be prosecuted nor displaced as the primary caregivers because of their religious beliefs and values matters of conscience or belief, or any decision made as result of the same.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no Texas laws usurp the initial engagement of parental participation in governmental interventions with their minor children, with the exception of the immediate arrest of a child, whose observed behavior is violation of a law contained in the Texas Penal Code, and must require mandatory official opt-in documentation.
