National Sovereignty Resolution-Election Security

Committee voted NO Pct 2055

Committee voted WHEREAS, the Constitution of the United States of America, Article 1, Section 4 establishes the times, places and manner of holding elections, stating those laws shall be prescribed by the Legislature of each state, and

WHEREAS, the integrity of elections determines the confidence citizens have in their governing authorities, and

WHEREAS, voting strength and participation has waned in past years, and

WHEREAS, fraudulent behavior has been uncovered but only sporadically punished, and

WHEREAS, growing outrage is developing,

BE IT RESOLVED, THEREFORE, that the Texas Legislature enact strong criminal penalties for violations of election laws, and state law enforcement officers and courts be empowered to expedite such cases.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to the SD22

Convention Resolutions Committee from Precinct #2055 of the REPUBLICAN

 Party, with the recommendation that it be passed and sent to the State

Convention Platform Committee of the Republican Party of Texas.
