Committee Voted Yes

WHEREAS, Texans recognize the unique and individual person created in the womb and the intrinsic value to our state and nation of each baby, and

WHEREAS, citizens of Texas support laws restricting the abortion of babies in the womb as soon as a heartbeat is detected; and

WHEREAS, Texas lawmakers passed the Texas Heartbeat Act which has been duly signed and enacted by the Governor of Texas; and

WHEREAS, this law has been left standing by the Supreme Court of the United States without restriction; and

WHEREAS, Texans oppose profiteering by abortionists through the sale of the body parts of aborted babies;

BE IT RESOLVED, THEREFORE, that we assert the sanctity of human life endowed by the Creator and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that criminal penalties be attached to any entity convicted of selling body parts of aborted children.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to the Convention Resolutions Committee from Precinct # (

) Party, with the recommendation that it be passed and sent to the State

Convention Platform Committee of the Republican Party of Texas.
