Pct 2055 Committee voted No

WHEREAS, traditional values have established over thousands of years what science has confirmed that every human being is identified by the pattern of chromosomes present in the DNA of each person, xy for males and xx for females, and

WHEREAS, traditional values have confirmed and documented the unique strength of each sex in the contributions they make to their communities, and

WHEREAS, we believe that there are only two sexes, male and female, and reject the current theory that there are more than one hundred identifiable genders, and

WHEREAS, children are vulnerable to and being harmed by the distorted interpretations of some social and medical professionals, and

WHEREAS, families are being harmed by the confusion, and

WHEREAS, people in social settings are facing situations of danger and humiliation,

BE IT RESOLVED, THEREFORE, that our laws and government recognize the binary sexual nature of humans and enact laws protecting minors from distorting influences and specifically prohibiting the use of surgical or chemical treatments used to alter the minor's body to resemble the sex other than the sex determined by DNA or suppress puberty.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that governing entities may not require separate accommodations of businesses or educational facilities for citizens experiencing gender dysphoria.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to the SD22 Convention Resolutions Committee from Precinct #4 2055 of the Republican Party, with the recommendation that it be passed and sent to the State

Convention Platform Committee of the Republican Party of Texas.
