Whereas the United States Constitution protects the rights of all Americans to make their own decision regarding their healthcare choices and it is unconstitutional for government officials to force a specific health protocol or treatment on their citizens; and
Whereas, the Nuremberg code specifies that the voluntary consent of an individual is essential for medical experiments; and
Whereas, every American citizen has the constitutional right to privacy regarding their healthcare choices; and
Whereas, no Texan should have to choose between providing for their family or being forced to follow a specific medical protocol or receive a certain treatment; and
Whereas, Governor Greg Abbott's executive order GA-29 mandating masks for Texans violated these rights; and
Whereas, vaccine and mask mandates for employees of a business violates an individual's right to medical autonomy and privacy; and
Whereas, it is the obligation of the state to protect our constitutional rights and medical freedom; and
Whereas, it is the duty of the Republican Party of Texas to stand for the constitutional rights of
Texans and hold the elected officials who violate them responsible; now therefore
Be it resolved that we urge the Texas Legislature to enact legislation protecting individual medical and health freedom by banning any vaccine or mask mandate for the citizens of Texas, regardless of whether these mandates are enacted by the government or private businesses.  Furthermore, be it resolved that the Republican Party of Texas reflects this position within our platform and censors any elected official that violates these rights reflected within this resolution.
Adopted this 3rd day of March 2022 , at the Precinct Convention of Precinct #2055 of the Republican Party of Texas.
