Education

Eliminate the Harris County Department of Education

Because Harris County Department of Education is the only county department of education remaining in Texas after independent school districts were created to fulfill the role, the Harris County Department of Education must be eliminated, along with its taxing authority. All assets of the Harris County Department of Education would be distributed equitably to the Independent School Districts within the county.
